Shan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of MIDF Amanah Asset Management Bhd in October 2022, after joining MIDF Amanah Investment Bank Bhd as Head of Equity Market (Dealing) in August 2021.With over 20 years of experience in investment and asset management, Shan began his career at AON Services Group in the US in 1999, then served as an Investment Executive at Hong Leong Assurance Berhad from 2000 to 2002. He spent over 16 years at ValueCAP Group, where he led the management of proprietary funds and later established VCAP Asset Managers Sdn Bhd, focusing on sustainable investments integrated with an ESG framework. He has also held advisory roles with Urusharta Jamaah Sdn Bhd and Tenggara Capital Seed 1 LP and managed a Global Mixed Asset Fund with Fortress Capital Asset Management. Shan holds a degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Hartford, USA, and an MBA from Charles Stuart University, Australia.
An economist by training, Azlan has had over 30 years of experience in the financial industry. He started his career as an analyst, futures and equities broker with KN Kenanga before venturing into fund management with Affin Bank which he then became their Chief Investment Officer. Following that he served as the regional head at IEC managing representatives from Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia. Prior to joining MIDF Amanah in 2010, he was a General Manager at AmanahRaya Investment Management.
NorAishah has more than 23 years of experience in the fund management industry. She graduated from Western Michigan University U.S.A. with a Bachelor's degree in Financial Studies. Prior to joining MIDF Amanah Asset Management in July2020, she was the Head of Investment at Valuecap Sdn Bhd, primarily responsible for managing Valuecap’s investment portfolio over the span of 15 years since2004. She was a scholar of the Employees Provident Fund and had served the esteemed organization for more than nine years prior to joining Valuecap.
Idawati graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. Ida spent 8 years at Etiqa Life Insurance Bhd in the Bancassurance Department where she built her knowledge on retail insurance distribution strategy and planning. She also has an extensive network within the institutional facilitating the leveraging of the expanded group’s resources to achieve the funds operational and business development goals.
